A Two-Year Writing Journey
From Idea to Draft to Manuscript
Join us for this two-year program to evolve a long-form work of writing, whether a memoir, collection of essays, graphic novel, or any other written word form.
Limited to 10 writers, this program is ideal for those ready for critique and rigor and who want to develop a book-length draft over the course of two years with a small cohort of fellow writers. The program includes:
At the end of two years, the creator will have up to 300 pages that have been reviewed with feedback and consideration of structure, point of view, voice, dialogue, character, scene, and story narrative. In addition, cohort members will have learned from a wide variety of writers, discussed craft books and other published works in detail, and built a strong and lasting relationship with members of the cohort and faculty.
Applications open in September 2021. Selected participants will be notified in January 2022. Program starts in March 2022.
Your faculty for this program are authors and artists, Patti Digh and Julie Gieseke.
